Escape to victory

Forgot to change my alarm due to yesterday's shenanigans, so I switched it off and went back to sleep. Lol!

I headed to Swansea in the morning to try out an escape room. It was proving to be very difficult and I thought I'd never get out. But once I worked out that the key I was actually looking for was books to buy, I was able to escape ;) I celebrated with a chai latte and a ham and cheese toastie.

And then things got an interesting. I paid for the parking at the car park and after barely exiting the car park within minutes I had a text. The text said that I had just been issued a Penalty Charge Notice (PCN) (see extra). I was a bit dubious so emailed the local council asking them if this was the way they issued PCNs and if it was legitimate. They came back to me within minutes to confirm that I had no outstanding PCNs and that this indeed was a scam. I have no idea how they got my number and also how they knew I'd just left a car park. Anyway, be careful and double check, these scammers are everywhere.

Had a quiet afternoon.

Today I am thankful for:

1.  A lie in, even if the alarm did initially wake me
2.  A good morning at the bookshop and seeing Twitter guy
3.  Not getting scammed
