The constant sound of the river is quite relaxing. It's very close to the van and is pretty fast flowing. There seems to have been a ford here at some time in the past - there's certainly the remains of a road at either side. Too slippery to have a good look at!

We went to Stanhope today and it was lovely. The sun shone and it was chilly, but everyone was dog friendly and there were some lovely folk about, and that makes the day enjoyable. Managed to buy some wool and a few birthday/Christmas presents, so that's good. 

Sorry about yesterday's llamas which alpacas! There is even a notice about them which I took to say llamas! I need a break!
