Mendelssohn on Mull

We arrived on the beautiful Isle of Mull around noon today.  I can call it beautiful, not because I had been here before, but only because it takes just an afternoon to discover enough for the identification.

We are staying in Tobermory, and as we walked into the chocolate shop, I discovered a concert series ending tonight.  It's the 35 year old series "Mendelssohn on Mull".  This year the performers are the string quartet plus, the Maxwell Quartet.  They performed Mozart, Mendelssohn, and with their students (you see it is also a summer workshop) an original piece featuring themes from Scotland.

Extras include "Walking Man by Post Office", "Antique Ford" and "Old Boats on the Beach"

Renting an E car from Hertz has not been easy.  They are no help, and it has taken us several days to figure out just how and where to power it up.  The car itself (Polstar 2) is nice and runs well.
