For a change...

they listened..  In an effort to cut costs Councilhad  decided to drastically reduce the number of gardens around town. A lot of the grounds staff were to be made redundant.   Thanks to the strong public response a compromise was reached and we still have some lovely gardens to enjoy and people still have jobs,  even though maybe we each pay a little more in rates, it's worth it.
