Out With The Old In With The New

This is a bit of a record shot. We’ve had to pull up our three box plants in our ‘low-maintenance’ gravel area. Sadly, they were badly affected by box moth caterpillar and box blight.

We’ve treated our two box hedges and hope we can save them. They weren’t quite so badly affected as the three plants we’ve removed, so fingers crossed.

Today I bought these three slow-growing conifers which we’ve planted to replace them. They are a bit small at the moment but plenty of room to grow.
