About time

... I made a decent-looking sourdough loaf. I also had loads of surplus starter, so I made some tagliatelle with it (extra) -- very satisfying, we've just eaten some with pesto and a poached egg.

More photo fails the last couple of days so it's food again! I should have had opportunities yesterday -- after lunch we drove to Narbonne to visit Sue in hospital (a very smart private room in the huge, shiny new one, with a lovely view, including a couple of hovering hawks), and from there drove on to see Auntie B. Lots of chat about what she's been doing since we last saw her, including two successful cataract operations which she's delighted with -- no need for glasses now.

She wanted help with updating her payment details for iCloud on her iPad as her card had expired. "Oh, that's simple," said S. I reminded him that my recent tangle with this had taken practically all day. Well, to cut a long story short, don't try this if you have no record of the password for your Apple ID, and have mislaid a couple of other vital bits of information too. I found myself in a downward spiral of "I've forgotten my ..." links, on both iPad and iPhone, with every code I tried being wrong. I was nervous that it was going to lock the devices any minute, but instead it eventually popped up a message saying it was going to block further password change attempts for 24 hours because it thought the phone had been stolen. At least it gave me an excuse to stop!

We didn't get home till nearly 8 pm, tired from socialising and technological hassles, so it was an early night. And today's job was going to Sue's and video calling her while rifling through her wardrobe for clean clothes!
