Burrell Collection - Degas Exhibition
I decided last night I fancied a trip to the Burrell in Pollock Park, Glasgow.
Was a solo trip and I got the express bus at 8:45 which got into Glasgow an hour later. It was a double decker which I love sitting up top seeing the countryside. And it was a beautiful day on the drive through.
It was time for coffee and a short distance away was Laboratorio Espresso for a cappuccino and croissant. Nice.
Walked to Central station to get a train ticket for Pollockshaws West station . Very short journey and the. When you get out of the station there is an electric bus that runs to the Burrell.
I bought a ticket for the Degas Collection and thought it was really good and interesting. There were a few painting that I really liked . Ballerinas and Horses were his main thing.
I had a walk round the Burrell collection which is FABULOUS! and so is the building. Some amazing pieces. I had lunch in the lovely bright restaurant with my book.
Decided to walk back to the station through Pollock Park as it was a lovely day. As I arrived at the platform a train drew in. Ten mins to Central and then booked a bus home, the Ember bus. Walked up to the bus station and then noticed the Ember bus was running late so as there was a citylink waiting to go I asked if I could come in without a reservation. It was fine. Cancelled Ember and another double decker so sat upstairs.
Back to Perth at 4:20 a good drive back.
Some yogurt and fruit for tea , some jigsaw and we are on 2nd last episode of Perfect Couple.
