Wound up in Wexford

Back in The Large Room

Gardening club this morning, where we helped with yet more weeding!

Then we took the new (to us) car into Waterford to be serviced.  We're still learning the idiosyncrasies of this car, and the GOM (guessometer - the estimate of how many more kilometres are available) seems to be less accurate than the one in the Kia.  We set off with GOM saying we had 120km, by the time we reached the garage, only about 40km, our GOM was down to 68km.

So once the car was serviced (whilst we visited Halfords to buy windscreen wipers for both cars, and Home Store + More for bedding) we decided we had better top up the battery.  This was the first time we'd charged this car at a public charger.  For those familiar with EVs, it doesn't have a CCS socket, just a Type 2.  The first 3 chargers we went to didn't have Type 2 charging, and Google Maps tried to take us through some bollards to reach the fourth one!  But eventually we succeeded in topping up the battery.

Then we went back into central Waterford to a concert, at The Large Room.  This has recently been renamed The Dr Mary Strangman Large Room, in honour of a pioneering Waterford doctor.  We've been there quite a few times before, to chamber music concerts, some quite thinly attended.  This concert, by the Irish Chamber Orchestra, was very well attended.  And was an excellent evening's entertainment.
