Tractor wheel and drill patterns.  Yesterday the nearby field was planted with wheat using an enormous tractor with huge double caterpillar tracks and today a smaller tractor completed the planting.  I think the rollers were levelling the ground and making sure that the seed in the drills was covered.  The previous crop of oil seed rape was harvested on August 1st so it will be interesting to see when the wheat will be ready especially as wheat that was planted in the spring has still not been harvested locally.   Meanwhile I picked more brambles from the hedge beside the tracks to make bramble jelly.
