Behind the white door…

… is Iris, having an MRI scan. She is anxious and annoyed but Mary the radiologist has been so reassuring and kind. She’ll be in the tunnel clunking away for twenty minutes.

The ovarian cyst that was drained 15 months ago has filled up again, and again found out because her wonderful GP felt her tummy on our last visit and sent her for an ultrasound, and here we are today. It doesn’t give her any pain or discomfort but adds to fluid retention. It is nothing more than a nuisance.

The cannula into her so thin arm was done gently and the dye added. She’ll be out of the room soon and we’ll have something to eat in the hospital restaurant before going home.

Choir tonight. She’ll be there.
