Solo run to Puerto Rico Harbour

I left G in bed, he had a better night and is on the mend, but wanted to take it easy today. A good plan.

I started off early, walked down the hill to the steps on Amadores Beach, where I left my swim gear. Then I ran to Puerto Rico Harbour; planning my 5k (not) parkrun for tomorrow.  After the run I was dripping hot so I cooled down in the beautiful ocean. When finisghed, I chatted to a Spanish lady; practicing my Spanish; we spotted thousands of fish. I loved swimming with them and used my goggles to get a good view. There were lots of species including yellow and blue ones like Dori from Finding Nemo. I 'just kept swimming' too. I also met a lady who has a job doing promotion photos for TUI down at the beach. It turns out that Playa Amadores is one of the best beaches on  the island and TUI lay on a coach trip here for holiday makers who are interested. We agreed that she  has a fab job, and I feel blessed to be here too.

After the swim I returned the 2k up the steep hill and relaxed at the poolside, until I decided to give my art gear a go. Painting the palm trees was interesting as I had not previously looked carefully at their leaves.
