Melothria Cobra

Better known as Cucamelon..  It sounds like a cross between a cucumber and a melon , but has nothing to do with either .They are Mexican fruit, a type of mini gherkin.   Can be eaten raw in salads, or just on their own.

T spotted them as tiny plants in a garden centre and couldn't resist trying them.

These are the first crop.
