The continuation...

...of the little job Roy started yesterday...

He had to remove about a foot of concrete and tarmac from the width of the garage entrance, and go down about the same amount, in order to improve the drainage on the drive. When it rains hard the water pours down the front of the garage door, and makes a big pool, apparently...

The loan of the big momma pneumatic drill saved him a couple of hours yesterday - I could hear the throaty roar kick in, as opposed to the gentle whine that Roy's smaller electric toy produces!

Happily they were strimming at Sheila & Brian's next door, and the tree surgeons were operating chainsaws and chippers at Muriel's and Queenie's - so we weren't responsible for all the noise, and it didn't last too long ;) 

Today the quiet putting-back parts of the job were the order of the day - the drains are now in situ, and the cementing round and levelling up is gradually taking place.
I wasn't even aware that the job was on the list...
