Cruckton Ploughing match

A sunny Saturday in September can only mean one thing...a trip to Shropshire for the annual Ploughing match. A superb day, as ever, with a couple of extras to give a flavour of the day. Don't be confused by the second extra....we accidently pulled up in Montgomery for the Guild Championship of town criers, with 40 criers from all over the world competing for the cup. Paul Gough, from Nuneaton and Bedworth walked off with the coveted prize. 
His pic would have made the main blip on any other day, but those working horses are just too good to be usurped.
