Rain puddle

We had a great steady rain for hours overnight. This morning I decided it was time to distribute my dog Gypsy’s ashes in our yard so the rain could blend them with the soil. Some ended up in this puddle. She always had to walk in it and get a drink from it when it rained. She loved being in water.

I have been doing a big purge of kitchen cabinets and the upstairs closets. Some stuff got trashed but today I carried bags and boxes of kitchen items and good clothes to the local charity store. Getting rid of clutter ( and prying it out of the hands of the hoarder in the family!) is a very good feeling. The older I get the less I want things.

I am still working on old photos though. Those memories are hard to throw away. Separating into piles. Slow going. My goal is to have this done by Christmas.

Jerry has been walking with a cane today but has the boot on. He has three days until the doctor visit.
