VILLAGE CRICKET

Had a couple of parcels to collect in the village so I had a wander down there this afternoon.  Also did some food shopping.

My route took me past the cricket ground and there was a match going on.  Whickham's  2nd XI  were playing host to Newcastle City CC seconds. It was the last match of the senior season.  ( Not sure of the result as the website hasn't been updated.)

Came home along the lane through the allotments and my next door neighbour Jackie was in her back garden so we had a catch up.

The weather today was dry and not too chilly .... but it was very windy.

Neil and Rachael have a doggy visitor at at the moment.  They are looking after Lola again.  She came last evening  - her owner  went into labour and went to hospital.   Baby arrived today and all is OK.  Neil THINKS the baby is a girt.  See Extra  for the two Goldies.
