Eva sent me this mock up of her jumping the Cottesmore Leap. It made me chuckle.
Had an early start to get to Canaan for an xc rally. The instructor met us with a sheepish look on her face and said she was really sorry she'd put us in the wrong group :0\. We were with all the lead rein/just off kids. It worked ok cos she got to do some of the bigger fences but was a bit frustrating as we had to wait in-between for all the steering issues and whining six year olds. Not sure how it happened as Eva has never been on lead rein since joining pc. I had to deal with her whining all the way back to the yard about it and was a shame as she'd been so excited about the rally.
Back at the yard we bathed Jack ready for tomorrow's show and had to drag all the mats out of the horse box as Jack decided to wee in there in the way back! Then home for boring housework before going back to turn Jack out and feed. I had a moan I couldn't ride this weekend cos of all jack's activities and Eva was very grown up and said she would do all the poo picking and feeding whilst I rode. So proud of her. I had half an hour in the school with a very reluctant Buddy! With the weather being so changeable he's already started to grow a thick winter coat so he was a big sweaty mess.
