Silly Saturday ...

... Sammy Davis, Jr.!?!

This afternoon we got out for a lovely walk along the Sobers Run trail at Jacobsburg State park.  The weather was perfect for a leisurely stroll through the woods.

At one point on our return trip we were sitting on a bench when this lovely Boxer and her human came into view.  Her owner had a huge stick that they were fighting over ... she didn't want to let go of it!  He finally got it away from her and threw it into the creek.  And at once she was after it!  I got this picture when she had returned with the stick.  If you look close enough you can see a tiny water drop dropping from her harness.

When asked her owner told us her name was Sammy Davis, Jr.  I thought that was a rather silly name for a female.  But perhaps his last name is Davis!  We may never know!

When we returned from our walk we released Monarch butterfly #20 ... which was a male.  We have four more chrysalids and one munching caterpillar left in our Monarch nursery.
