Ulverston Lantern Festival

We went up to Ulverston to stay with family and see the Lantern Festival.

We have wanted to visit this for some time and it exceeded expectations.   What an amazing array of illuminated  lanterns,  all home made and reflecting the theme of 'story'

They ranged from large constructions controlled by groups of people to small individual lanterns.  Our grandchildren made lanterns based on Willy Wonka and Harry Potter.
