Spruced-up

Some of you will recall I help out with a small group that mark the anniversary of the deaths of WW2 personal from the many local airfields. The above memorial is sighted beside Pocklington Canal yards away from where a bomber clipped two houses either side of the A1079. It has been looking rather sad of late. Lichen and moss were making their home there, making the inscription difficult to read. I had been meaning to research the cost of cleaning and repainting at on of the local stone masons. This week someone beat me to it.
After yesterdays brief return to Summer rain all day until just before sunset!
