A day in the life

Relations

For two days I’ve been seeing relatives and talked a lot about then and now. One of my mothers sisters, the only survivour from her generation has moved into an old peoples home at the age of 99, because she has dementia and can no longer take care of her self. I looked through some of her photo albums and found this photo of my cousin and host, who is now well over 60, in his christening-dress. I can’t remember when it was but I, the one with glasses, might be around five. The last person is no longer alive. A photo like this puts life in another perspective.
