Last walk around the streets of Barga

Late morning and a short walk with Josie (she’d already been out for her longer walk).  We were picked up by our lovely taxi driver at 1.20 and driven to Pisa airport in his minibus as five of us made the return trip back.

We checked me in for the assisted travel, despite me saying I could manage the aircraft steps. Interesting arrangement!  It’s actually been standing still that I’ve  had most problems with and there’s normally lots of that in airports.

I took a photo as I was sat waiting outside the Mocha cafe, the designated waiting area, but seem to have lost it.

Our flight back was an hour delayed, so lots of hanging about before we could go through security and into departure.

A great relief that my son was waiting to collect us. I think it was around 10 when we arrived back at my house and Jay got Josie home by 11.  Fortunately he doesn’t live too far away from her.

A long day!!  No wonder I was feeling tired yesterday. Thanks to Josie for her support.  Lots of good memories from the visit and I’m so pleased I managed it.

Best memory - sitting in front of the Duomo as night fell and just ‘being’ in that moment.
