Fair isle knitting

Took the day off work today, having booked on a fair isle knitting session in the afternoon. I’ve always wondered how you can knit with so many colours at one time and now I know! This is pretty much all I managed to bring home though - it took a while to get the hang of it as it’s a bit fiddly to start with. I bought myself a kit from the tutor to make a beanie hat so I hope I’ll get a bit quicker with practice. Goodness knows when I’ll have time to make it though!

Met up with an old work colleague before that as I was in the area. He’s retired now and enjoying the freedom.
