Little Langdale

A drive into the lakes to meet JE for a walk.  Normally when we plan a walk together we get rained off but today was the exception.  A misty start which cleared as I drove north alongside Windermere.  Very still and superb reflections on the water.  Magnificent.

We met at Skelwith Bridge and did the Colwith Force, Little Langdale, Elterwater loop.  Absolutely sublime.

We hadn't seen each other for a while, so there was a fair amount of catching up to do.  She has just survived GCSEs with youngest daughter.

Coffee at Slates and then back to the cars along the River Brathay.

Chesters was doing a roaring trade but, sadly, we didn't have time to join the queue for lunch.

Quick nip into Ambleside afterwards to run a couple of errands and then home in the sunshine.
