No swimming today?!

Yesterday evening we had a plan..................... the plan was......... go to Porthgwidden Beach at 8am.  Ann was going to have a swim and I was going to sit and watch her. Mmmmmm.......... best laid plans and all that.

Ann whatsapp'd her 'Dippers & Swimmers' group to see if anyone else wanted to come. Everyone was swimming elsewhere today.

Ann doesn't usually swim on a Monday morning because she's normally working, but today she was doing a 1-6pm shift so plenty of time for a swim. However, on a Monday there's two different places where people swim. There's the 'Swimmer's Galore' who swim at Porthminister Beach at 9am and there's the 'Bamaluz Swimmers' who swim on Bamaluz Beach at 9.30am.

Ann would have been quite happy to swim at Porthgwidden Beach by herself, but decided to be sociable and go to Bamaluz at 9.30am. The plan was.................. she was going to take me for a little toileting walk in the field when we first got up and then we were going to walk along Porthmeor Beach to Bamaluz Beach where I would just sit and guard Ann's stuff and watch her swim.

Mmmmmmm.................... best laid plans and all that?!.............................

When we woke up this morning and looked out of the window, everything seemed damp?! Ann said, 'Trixie, our weather app has lied again. It's been raining. I'm not going swimming. I bet it's cold as well.'  So Ann put on her jeans & anorak and off we went on my walk to Porthminster Beach.

…..............It wasn't cold! In fact it was positively hot and the sea was really calm. 'Mr Sunshine' may not have been around but it was an ideal morning for swimming. Ann was really annoyed that she'd passed up such a good opportunity for a sea swim. TBH she still had time and could have gone swimming at Bamaluz but she'd had a shower by then and didn't want to have another one. Lol!

The 'Bamaluz Swimmers' messaged her later to say that they'd missed her. Oh well, ho hum, sometimes one makes the wrong choices.

Obviously I didn't care because I still had a really lovely play on Porthminster Beach. And before Ann went to work I had a play in the field with my ball, but that wore me out in super quick time. Ann thinks I was still tired from my big long walk yesterday.

Our weather app is showing lots of little sunshine symbols for tomorrow so guess where we'll be going at 8am?.................... Yep, Porthgwidden Beach for a bit of a splish, splash, splosh in the sea. Yay!!!
