Come on, birds

Still feeling properly grotty this morning, so I called in sick - but only for the morning, as I had a meeting in the afternoon that I really didn't want to miss.  I spent a couple of hours sitting out in the morning sunshine in my hanging chair (and my pyjamas), which felt like good medicine.  I also put some apples out for the birds, but had no takers.  I'm sure the jackdaws'll come and take the lot as soon as my back is turned.

Some decent progress for Dan today, who was sitting up out of bed, and able to take his meds orally.  He's being moved to a surgical ward soon, and will then have his pancreas removed, too.  It's going to be a long recovery and a complete change of lifestyle....
