Coasting

We woke to a beautiful sunny day so decided to visit Thornham beach. It’s one of the less accessible beaches on the coast and to reach it you walk along section of the North Norfolk coast path over salt marshes and sand dunes. It’s a fascinating landscape. This is the beach we walked on. It contains the site of the sea henge discovered here in the late 1990s. Before returning we had some refreshments at the Norfolk Wildlife Trust visitor centre which is located near the sand dunes and surrounded by beautifully scented pine woodland - see extra.

This evening we enjoyed a walk at Burnham Ovary Staithe and watched people in small sailing boats enjoying the last of the evening light - see extra.
