Medals of the Great War

I have to admit to having little knowledge about these medals that I believe I’ve inherited from my father’s side of the family. When I came across them in a kitchen draw I thought they’d be a suitable subject for today’s Mono Monday still life challenge even though they are not usually found in a kitchen.
