Extraordinary Landscape

For this day we planned a trip to Schynige-Platte Botanical Alpine Garden. 

On an airy perch overlooking Lake Brienz and Lake Thun with Interlaken nestled between, the views are stunning.

The Botanical Alpine Garden is quite extraordinary and to save time I have posted a link for those who wish to see how amazing it is.

The summit of this place is reached by rack and pinion railway from Wilderswill, up a steep and winding mountain track. Very exciting!

This for me was a memorable experience and despite the cold cloudy conditions it is a place that is firmly lodged in my memory. My wife was amazing, using two walking poles she navigated her way around the precipitous slopes of the Alpine gardens carefully and endured the snowy conditions and steep steps with a carefree approach which gladdened my heart.
