Inside The Third Reich.

An afternoon within the vast Flakturm III, a World War II flak tower that was originally build from a design by Adolf Hitler in response to the first raids by the Royal Air Force in 1940. Situated in Berlin's Humboldthain Park, the remains of this vast construction lie under a mountain of rubble and the trees camouflage this building's true extent after it was partially demolished in 1948.

The tour of the bunker, organised and conducted by members of the Berliner Unterwelten, revealed the staggering scale of the vast cavernous interior, with the tour guide revealed once held over 10 000 people sheltering from the advance of Soviet forces in the last days of the war, with the two metre-thick steel reinforced proving impervious to the Red Army's heavy artillery.
