Howarth
We had the best day ever. A visit to Haworth Parsonage and church, where the Bronte family lived followed by a Bipmeet with several Yorkshire blippers (image in extras). It was a lot of fun and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The image is Charlotte Bronte's gown - and whilst she was clearly short of stature, her waist wasn't all that tiny.
The next bit was a hit stressful - OK, very stressful - the drive to drop our car off in York. Sadly, my days of driving in the UK have now come to an end. It's really sad, because you can only get to many places by car. I dread to imagine a coach trip through some of those very narrow lanes - it simply doesn't bear thinking about.
We have a lovely comfortable hotel in York, wherein we are ensconced for the next few days. It's the city of my birth; the sun is shining, and I'm looking forward to it all very much.
