Grandfather's Hammer
I have accumulated various tools over the years, mainly through family sources. In continuing to replace sections of log roll today I needed a weighty hammer to dislodge an iron support stake, so my first choice was my Grandfather's hammer which has his initials BD punched into the head, He was a marine engineer born in 1884 and died in1949. Unlike Trigger's broom (Only fools and horses ) the hammer still has the original shaft.
Another warm and settled day, so I had to wait for shading from nearby trees to cover the area I was working in.
