Supermoon
I don't think I'll stay up to 3:44 for the peak of the partial eclipse - I'm tired, and I think it's only about 4% that will be in darkness...
I thought I'd take a moon photo anyway since it's been a while since the last one. Since then I've upgraded camera from the Canon 60D to the 90D. 33 megapixels instead of 18 and lower noise should make for a more detailed image. However, I traded the Tamron 70-300 I took the last photo with because I never really liked it. I don't do much long range photography so I now have a Sigma 18-300 superzoom, which is much nicer to use but a bit less optically capable. The better camera seems to be cancelled out by the less good glass - the newer image seems slightly less sharp to me (same exposure, same aperture, same ISO so a good comparison).
In general I prefer the superzoom as it's really handy to have on the camera, so instead of having a quite good telephoto in the drawer at home I have a slightly less good telephoto whenever I need it...
