Bottle it
Given the choice, I am guessing that most people would want to wake up, pull back the curtains and be greeted with blue skies and sunshine.
For the most part, I would be on board with this, BUT sometimes when you wake up and can immediately hear the sound of the rain spattering against the window, safe in the knowledge that you have no where to be and can just stay in bed, that is also a pretty nice way to start the day.
Particularly when there is a perfect brew by your side, the hangover of yesterday has fully passed and you can relax, catch up on some blips while Classic FM trots out some bangers.
Eventually, I did need to get up and after lunch I headed down to the theatre as auditions were being held for next year’s panto; Aladdin. I was fortunate enough to have already been cast, so the director asked me to sit on the audition “panel”. The auditions were great with some nice surprises - we clearly have some very talented people in the group.
The tough bit was after everyone had gone home though as we discussed our friends and new arrivals and who would fit where. The biggest problem of all is that there are simply not enough parts to go around, so some people are inevitably going to be disappointed.
Serious business this comedy malarky.
In the melee, I realised as I laid my head down that I had completely forgotten to take a photo, so snapped one from my phone stand.
Sorry.
