The Japanese doll approximately 12" in height, that my Grandfather would have brought back from his travels in the Royal Navy is in pieces. The head, body and limbs are made of sculpted cork. The face is intact, the back of the head with hair is in two pieces, the body is wearing a beautiful kimono,  both arms & one leg attached. She's in a bit of a sad state but still has a twinkle in her eye. I would love to get her repaired & wondered about contacting the tv series The Repair Shop.

Mum was a bit teary this morning as I explained that I need help in looking after her, keeping her safe.  We had a meeting at 11am with Jackie, a representative from a local care provider. Rather reluctantly Mum agreed to meet Abbie, a personal care assistant. Fingers crossed it works out. If Abbie does'nt tick the boxes then I will keep trying until we find the right person.

Hubby home from his stay in hospital with Diverticulitis, a new condition, is struggling. No instruction on diet mentioned when he was discharged from hospital, so having now researched it's a Low fibre diet for the time being.

What else happened today??? I filled in the Attendance Allowance paperwork for John's application, then went to the library to print off all medical reports etc. that might help his application, plus print off copies for the Blue Badge application. Extra info required.

Went back down to get Mum off to bed, she's in the kitchen, just heating a pasty for her supper. "Indie did'nt want any" . Mum did'nt want any either so pasty in the bin, Mum into bed.  I drove back home & sat down with a cider & my book.

Thanks to McCaviti for hosting. This week's subject Iris. I did take a blip of mum's iris, but in my haste to free up space on my memory card, just wiped it clean. Hey ho!!! I've not missed any images yet! Back blip to yesterday
