'REDKITE'
It is with a heavy heart that I am having to announce the unexpected passing of my wonderful Mum, Maeve, known locally as Mavis Brown / Sister Gomez.
Mum played a significant role as the community midwife and had a great impact on several local families touching many hearts and we appreciate many will be affected by this news. Mum passed away very peacefully at the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital and we would like to note our appreciation for both the brilliant care she received, and the support we received as a family.
Mr HB saw this on our local town forum this morning and read it out to me about my dearest friend Maeve, and I'm still reeling from the shock. Many of you will remember her from Blip Redkite. I am away from home and have no idea what happened as I was only chatting to M last week and arranging to visit when I return home in a few days time. I will try to find out more today.
Needless to say I'm devastated and was too shocked to post this yesterday. I took this lovely photo of M in 2013 whilst we were having lunch in the sunshine outside the Stirperstones Inn. I remember it as if it were yesterday and the area which was one of our favourites.
