Deco in Ciro

Some lovely 1930s and 1940s buildings still standing in Calabria’s Cirò Marina.
Drove up to Santa Severena today - a very old fortified town perched precariously on a tall rocky outcrop, with plenty of switchbacks to keep the driver alert.
Just got home in time before a massive thunderstorm hit us - with jolts of loud cracking lightning and rolling thunder bouncing off the hills and valleys.
Very grateful we weren’t still on the road - local driving style already quite sufficiently interesting, thank you.
