Wee One

This late in the season I was surprised to find this anise swallowtail caterpillar on one of our fennel plants. If we have a mild autumn he might survive to chrysalis stage, and if so, will safely overwinter in his little home to emerge in the spring • I needed a day off from staining so I did a little housecleaning and hauled out a few fall/halloween decorations. Things are looking much more festive now. Picked some tomatoes too • As for birds, I may have seen a female bluebird, but I definitely saw a red-eyed vireo :)) • Peace & Love from our house to yours!
