All The Fun Of The Fair

My Blip is later today because Brian and I had decided to go and take photos of the travelling fair which is on the South common at the moment.

I spent the day doing more baking. A colleague of Brian's had given us some apples from his garden and I made a Dorset Apple Traybake with them. I reduced the humongous sugar content after reading comments on the online recipe, and I added cinnamon too - off my own bat! I had some for my tea and it was delicious!

Two kitchen successes in two days! Go me!

We were meant to be going to Jeri's at the weekend but she has had to cancel us due to Theodore's football commitments. Grace had planned to come over on Saturday evening and she is still going to. Sophia's away visiting her family in Swindon before she resumes her studies.

We went down to the fair as soon as it got dark and I took photos on my phone. Brian took his camera and tripod to do it properly! The phone option is best for me though...

We didn't go on any rides - I don't think my neck would cope with it nowadays unfortunately, though I would like to go on some of them. Maybe not this one though...

My family on my Mum's side were fairground people - they had donkeys and a fancy doll stall. Fairs do not have those any more - a good thing in the donkeys' case!
