in praise of buses

An early blip today, though I’ve been up for hours and am now on the bus from Glasgow to Dumfries. I just had a conversation with a fellow passenger about bus passes and how grateful we are to have them. She is in her early 40s but disabled, I’m in the over 60 age group and young people up to the age of 22 also get free bus travel in Scotland. I have certainly made good use of my pass on this trip and no worries about parking, either.

I had a quiet night’s stay in Gourock last night and an early start. Now on my way to meet D for the sauna and swim we missed on Monday :-)
