Found another bear!

An early start after an early wake so we meandered down to the Bow River Falls : it was quite chilly at first but spectacular
Then we headed up Sulphur Mountain to the Banff Gondola and soon we were at 2880 m above the Bow Valley. Magnificent views across the many mountains of the Rockies, almost 360 panorama of peaks. This mirrored bear is at the top.

We then headed into town , dropped the rental car off and explored Banff on foot. We browsed a farmers market and various art galleries and a Christmas shop to find some quaint souvenirs before lunch.

Finally we went to the local museum. We took a tour of the heritage home of early settlers , Philip and Pearl Brewster Moore and particularly Peter and Catharine Whyte who were pioneers and artists, as well as avid collectors and supporters of First Nation art and culture and endowed the museum to preserve their artefacts .

Tomorrow the Rocky Mountaineer to Vancouver !
