A Walk In The Woods
The weather was amazing for a school trip to the Jordan Historial House in Jordon Ontario today.
This is a picture of my youngest son Marcus with his Educational Assistant. As Marcus is autistic, he requires the support of someone one-on-one to help him keep focused and to keep him safe while he is at school. Because the majority of this trip was outside, I went along to help as an extra pair of eyes and arms. He is a flight risk and can take off with the drop of a hat.
During the times when Marcus would get "antsie" as the other kids were pretending to be "Pioneer Students" in the old-fashioned classroom, Marcus's E.A. and I would take Marcus for a walk to burn off some energy. The scenery was beautiful and Marcus enjoyed himself thoroughly. I think his favourite part was the ride back and forth on the "Big School Bus".
