No, actually it's Glasgow city centre. Although as I walked through on my way to a meeting at the Commonwealth Games office you could have been forgiven for thinking it was Italy. Not only was the sky blue and temperature nearing 30, but the pavement cages were full of beautiful people posing, sipping vino and watching each other from behind their designer shades. Talking of shade, it was even hot enough that there were a noticeable number of shade-seekers; usually a rare breed in these parts.

It's been a great day; started with a magical loch swim in perfect conditions and now I'm sitting in the garden with a chilled beer after about 3 hours strimming and grass cutting. I can see the moon in a pale blue sky, there isn't a cloud and its still plenty warm enough for shorts and T shirt.
