A Smaller World

Wine o'clock and a pretty fluorite egg.

This heat wave is very unexpected. We always hope for one in Scotland, especially after the usual combined rain, gales and general misery of winter. This time we have scored lucky. For one, I do not plan to complain about this wonderful, life-affirming ball of yellow dominating the sky. Rather, I retreat to rooms which are the coolest I can make them.
Ziggy continues to get his long daily 'scooter' walks , minus the one in the middle of the day. He no longer wants to play fetch. The cats are smarter. The choose the window sills and stretch out aiming to be roasted by the end of the day. Water bowls and ice cubes are replenished regularly.
I continue to knit socks for Rory's winter wardrobe out in the garden when it grows cooler in the eveving whilst listening to the Electric Sheep podcasts.
And the best time in these deliciously hot days? Wine o'clock. Cheers, everyone !
