Mr and Mrs Woodman had to return to Chiswick today to put everything back to normal after yesterday's fun with the signs. Fortunately no-one had noticed, after all the sign was outside the bar, so people leaving were feeling quite merry.

Once everything was done, they decided on a picnic on the island in the middle of the lake. Here they sat underneath the Cormorant sculpture, together with it's catch of fish, all on a wire frame. the sculpture was put there to try to discourage the heron from perching on the rock, since he tended to leave his mark.

So, once he landed (he never could take a hint) and joined them, they raised a glass to the heron, and the bird on the wire.
