Autumn Gold

From my walk this morning alng the coast path between Downderry and Portwrinkle in in SE Cornwall. There were lots of seedheads. Some spiky, some fluffy and some brittle and pod-like. Also many swallows and houesmartins moving east and more butterflies than I have seen during most of the summer. The lane leading out of portwrinkle was full of fluttering large whites. Along the coast path here were also red admirals, specled wood, small copper, common blue and a painted lady butterfly. The two most unusual sightings though were a clouded yellow butterfly and a silverY moth.
