Castell Coch
We were due to take our granddaughter to the seaside today, but she wasn't very well this morning so our plans changed. She felt better this afternoon and wanted to see the tropical fish, so we went to the garden centre. This is the view from the car park of Castell Coch, or Red Castle. It was built in the late 19th century on the ruins of an earlier medieval castle, and was designed by the famous architect William Burges, who also designed some of the modern features of Cardiff Castle. It's well worth a visit if you are ever down this way.
