Rivers of gold
Yesterday it was a moon rise - and thanks so much for your kind response - today a sunset.
Late in the day, we drive to Llanfairfechan. The tide’s out, huge expanses of watery sand stretching out towards Anglesey. A few people walk - or jog - along the coastal path, lone dog walkers braving walks along the sand.
The cloudless sky suggests sunset will not be spectacular, but over Anglesey blue is momentarily replaced by apricots and oranges, the latter picked up by ribbons of water stretching out across the sands. My blip today.
And as an extra there’s a dog and owner silhouetted against the layers of sand and light reflecting water.
An update on our car. The Kia garage tell us it’s likely to be months rather than weeks, and the replacement car has now been placed into the hands of Kia Customer Services who we contacted this morning to be told they’d endeavour to sort out a hire car within 48 hours. They will try to get us an electric vehicle, but there is no guarantee. Thankfully we still have our golf - we’d thought of selling it this month - but the likelihood is we’ll be without a replacement car for five days which just isn’t good enough. Customer Services refuse to acknowledge that this is likely to be a manufacturing fault …… G tends to be very calm and accepting (it’s all his meditation and mindfulness) whereas I’m really rather annoyed to put it mildly!
