Homeless teddy bear

You do occasionally see folks begging on street corners in this town: forlorn expressions, downcast shoulders, cap on the cold concrete in front of them. But this is definitely the first time I have encountered a down-on-his-or-her-luck soft toy... I had no idea how he/ she fell on hard times and found themselves loitering with intent near a council recycling bin. Did he/ she manage to find a place in a shelter for the nigh? These are the questions I'm now asking myself.
So that's the end of eventful week...and now I have a long weekend to think about it all and get ready for the next one....
