Eden

Rose wanted to go to the Eden Project - first time we went was in 2001 just as it opened so there weren't many plants in situ.
I've been since and enjoyed seeing how the plants have grown and how everything has evolved.
There were men on the roof inspecting the covering and fixing any problems.  We saw several folk enjoying the zip wires too. - we resisted the urge to try!
Rose and I had a wonderful wander around the Core before heading to the Rainforest biome for a short talk with a volunteer; we were shown the various spices therein like cinnamon tree and pepper vines.
Afterwards we wandered up to the top by the waterfall and then back to the cafe as we were feeling hot and sticky.  After reviving drink (me) and ice cream (Rose) we wandered around the Mediterranean biome, by which time after about 5 hours of strolling I was tired so we managed to get a "lift" back to the car in one of the buggies.  That was such a relief not to have to wander back up those slopes! 
Safe journey both ways and grateful to wander into the house in time for a glass of wine, having had a wonderful day.
